Spring Greens and Fungi 2:00pm
Learn about the wild greens carpeting the riversides in spring. Find our two local species of wild garlic and learn to safely distinguish them from toxic look-alikes. Discover many other species of edible wild greens and fungi and bring scissors and a basket to bring home wild garlic and other green treats after enjoying a picnic of wild foods and drinks to inspire your own creations.

Invasivore Walk 10:00am
Join me for a walk along the Almond river to identify, collect, and sample some delicious wild edibles. We will focus on invasive, non-native species on this walk and pick them in the pleasant knowledge that doing so won't harm and even might benefit the eco system as well as provide us with some amazing flavours.

Flowers, Fungi, And Greens 2:00pm
During our May forage we’ll explore the flora and funga of the beautiful Cammo Estate to the west of the city. We’ll amble through woodland, parkland, fields, and meadows, and look at and taste some of the most delicious wild flavours of our Scottish springtime. We’ll discuss identification features, responsible foraging practices, preparation suggestions, and finish with a wild food picnic

Springtime is when many seaweeds are at their best. Bring scissors and we'll make use of the low tide to harvest some delicious and healthy seaweeds.
Afterwards, we'll look at some coastal spring greens , gather around and sample some of those foraged flavours in a wild food picnic..

Join me for an exciting afternoon along the Almond river to identify, collect, and sample some delicious wild edibles. We will learn how to safely identify and responsibly harvest a minimum of thirty species of edible plants and fungi and finish our course with a little feast of wild foods and drinks to inspire your own creations.

Beltane Walk

Let's celebrate the beginning of May outdoors amid the springtime flowers and lush green of Edinburgh's beautiful Corstorphine Hill. During our Beltane Walk we'll safely identify and responsibly collect around thirty different edible species of plants and fungi, enjoy the beautiful May landscape and taste some samples of foraged foods and drinks to inspire your own creations.
